Most Beach Condos in Destin guests have arrived at our beautiful beaches via car for twenty years! The benefits of driving range from the ease of traveling with your furry friends to one of our pet-friendly properties; to packing all the essentials you and your family need for your week (or more) in beautiful; Destin, Florida. In many cases, families that vacation together don’t always arrive in the same vehicle, so you are faced with the challenge of where to park the extra vehicle, trailer, or boat.

The majority of our beach vacation rentals provide parking on-site for two vehicles, but if you know you’re going to need a little more space to park, then check out our handy list of Overnight Parking in Miramar Beach and Destin.

Geronimo RV Resort (vehicles, trailers, boats, and RVs)

Geronimo RV Resort is in Miramar Beach and is the closest overnight vehicle storage facility to Beach Condos in Destin vacation rental properties, where you can park overflow vehicles, trailers, boats, and RVs. The cost for parking is $30/day (paying with cc) and $25/day (cash discount), a total due at the time of booking. There is a 3-day call-ahead window to book throughout the year, except for Memorial Day and July 4^th, when you must call one week before. Check-in is between 9 am to 5 pm from Monday through Saturday and 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday. The park will provide you with a personal parking pass to display, which may also be switched among vehicles throughout your stay, and you will have 24-hour access to your car (s).

Destin Tow Brothers is a great option for those traveling with their boats. It is in the heart of Destin, close to Destin Marina and many boat ramps. Their auto storage parking area also provides a safe place to keep your vehicle in Destin. The well-lit, gated storage lot is under 24-hour video surveillance. Daily rates start at $25/day for cars and trailers. You must call Destin Tow Brothers for more details about oversized vehicles, boats, RVs, and trailers.

D & J Dry Storage Inc (boats and trailers)

11 Calhoun Avenue, Destin, FL 32541 | 850-837-5055

Located near HarborWalk Village, D & J Dry Storage is next to a ramp, is gated, and provides nightly and weekly storage for boats and trailers. Be sure to call after 7 pm. Rates range from $25/nightly to $150/weekly.

Fireworks at Baytowne Warf: Tuesday, March 21, 28, and April 4th, 2023, 8:30 pm for fireworks – If you have not experienced the fireworks at Baytowne Warf yet, this is a must-do.  Enjoy walking along the cobbled streets stopping by one of the cute merchant shops or restaurants along the way.  Festivities start at 6 pm culminating with the fireworks show at 8:30.

SanDestin Wine Festival: April 13-16 Tickets are required and will sell out. The Village of Baytowne Warf will feature over 800 domestic and international wines.

Things to do with kids in Destin

The Track

It is located between the Mid Bay Bridge intersection and Big Kahuna’s on US 98 at various locations. The Track Recreational Center (www.destintrack.com) has go-carts, mini golf, bumper cars, & rides. They have activities that appeal to small children, older kids, and young adults.

Fat Daddies Arcade

Located near Fudpuckers on Emerald Coast Parkway offers arcade games only. Also, check out https://fatdaddysarcade.com/collections/destin-commons-fl.  Pro tip: Buy your points online before you visit and save. They can split points into several cards so everyone can have their own preset amount. 

Thrills Laser Tag

Conveniently located and a walkable distance behind our rentals on the resort of Seascape, including Majestic Sun and Seascape 4B is Thrills Laser Tag and Arcade. This is also a great place to throw a kids’ birthday party. They are well known for their Moo-La-La-Ice Cream. 

Blast Arcade & Laser

Located at Baytowne Wharf in San Destin, there are many different things to do for young and old kids alike. While the other arcades are bigger, this one makes the list because of its proximity to other items like the carousel, ice skating rink (winter only), and Adventure Zone climbing wall.

Harborwalk Adventures

An excellent stop in the evening while enjoying the Harborwalk area or the zipline, climbing wall, Bungy, mirror maze, and aqua spheres. These are those round hamster wheel-looking balls on top of the water — lol!

Big Kahuna’s

This is the only water park in our area. My kids love the water slides, and I love the lazy river. The water park is great but has much more, including Putt-Putt and the Sky Coaster.

Urban Air Trampoline Park

An indoor trampoline and adventure park are suitable for entertaining the kids when it rains, or they have had too much sun.
