Spring is a Great time to visit Destin! (Updated 2/10/2023)

March and April can be lovely times to visit Destin and Miramar Beach, Florida. The low crowds, lower room rates, and plethora of family activities bring the area to life for the entire family.

Kick Spring Break off with one of these fun, family-friendly events. 

Mac & Cheese Festival: March 5, Noon-3 pm – Self-explanatory local chefs compete for the title of Best Mac N Cheese in Town.  Tickets required, children $15, Adults $25, VIP $45

St. Paddy’s Day on the Destin Harbor: March 19, 2 pm-4 pm – St. Paddy’s Day on the Harbor.  Irish dancing, Kid Treasure hunt, and Crafts.  Harborwalk stores will have drink and food specials to celebrate.

Fireworks at Baytowne Warf: Tuesday, March 21, 28, and April 4th, 2023, 8:30 pm for fireworks – If you have not experienced the fireworks at Baytowne Warf yet, this is a must-do.  Enjoy walking along the cobbled streets stopping by one of the cute merchant shops or restaurants along the way.  Festivities start at 6 pm culminating with the fireworks show at 8:30.

San Destin Wine Festival: April 13-16 Tickets are required and will sell out. The Village of Baytowne Warf will feature over 800 domestic and international wines.

Moon Crush Music Festival: April 20 – 23 – Headliners include The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, The Black Crowes, Marcus Kind, JJ Grey.  Moon Crush Music Festival self describes itself as “ A Music Vacation,” not just a festival.  Located on the grounds of Seascape Resort.

Easter Explosion at the Village of Baytowne Wharf: April 19, Noon to 3 pm – On Saturday, the Village will be filled with fun activities, including inflatables, lawn games, crafts, and of course, the Easter Bunny himself will be there.

Emerald Coast Volleyball Week: April 19-23 – Features teams from around the country competing for the top spot in various categories, including men’s teams, women’s teams, and co-ed teams. The tournament takes place at the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. Sign up for your team or cheer on the teams as a spectator.

South Walton Wine and Food Festival (Yes, another Wine Festival): April 26-29th – A weekend of great wines, fine foods, live music from national artists, culinary celebrities, and more will be held in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. An assortment of over 800 wines will be available to try at the Grand Tasting event on Saturday, along with delicious food to pair with the variety of wines. There will also be tasting seminars, Champagne Lane tastings, Spirits Row, chef demos, and Nashville Songwriters Showcase.
