About Beach Condos in Destin

Beach Condos in Destin is a family-owned vacation rental company rooted right here on the Emerald Coast. We’ve been doing this for more than 20 years, and our story started simply—by wanting things done better.

Back in 2000, after retiring from her physical therapy practice, Renee Clayton purchased several condos along the Gulf. Like many owners, she hired a management company to take care of them. And like many owners, she quickly realized the level of care and attention just wasn’t there. In 2005, Renee decided to take over managing her own properties.

What started as managing her own condos grew naturally—one referral at a time—into what Beach Condos in Destin is today. I joined my mom, Renee, in the business in 2008 after leaving a career in software and project management to be closer to family and to take care of my own investments. Together, we’ve built a hands-on, relationship-driven company focused on doing right by both owners and guests.

Today, we manage nearly 90 condos in Miramar Beach and Destin, many along Scenic Gulf Drive. We also personally own and manage several of the homes in our program, which means we treat every condo with the same level of care, detail, and accountability we expect for our own.

We’re very involved—no call centers, no layers of management, no guessing who’s actually responsible. We know Destin and Miramar Beach condos inside and out, and we’ve built a strong foot print and standard for managing in our area.

Over the years, we’ve also become known for helping owners remodel and refresh their condos—whether that’s a full renovation or thoughtful updates that improve both bookings and guest experience. In fact, a lot of the artwork you see in our condos is actually created by Renee herself. It’s time-consuming work, but it’s something she truly enjoys—and when it’s hard to find just the right thing, sometimes the best solution is to create it yourself.

We work hard to help our owners improve their properties because their success is directly tied to ours. If a condo isn’t performing well or making money, neither are we. That shared incentive keeps us practical, honest, and realistic about what adds value and what doesn’t.

We’ve grown entirely through word-of-mouth. We don’t cold call, we don’t pay for recommendations, and we don’t take on every property that comes our way. If a condo isn’t a good fit—or we don’t feel we can do a great job—we’ll say so. That approach has worked well for us and for the owners who trust us.

In addition to vacation rental management and remodeling, Renee Clayton and Laura Clayton are licensed Realtors® with World Impact Realty, and we’re happy to help clients buy or sell vacation condos when the timing is right.

We’re also incredibly lucky to have a small, dedicated team that helps make everything run smoothly. Carmen, who has been with us since 2011, handles bookkeeping and is truly part of our family. Giovanna supports guests and owners while managing social media and marketing, and Janexty assists with customer support.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Rodrigo, our maintenance and remodeling pro, who can fix or build just about anything. His skill, reliability, and pride in his work make an enormous difference for our owners and guests, and we’re grateful to have him as part of our team.

Together, we work closely as a team and take pride in being accessible, responsive, and easy to work with. On check in and check out days we are supported by a small army of housekeepers and property inspectors who are personally assigned to specific homes. Your housekeeper knows your property—its layout, its quirks, and its details—which allows for a higher level of care and consistency.

Over the years, we’ve built an incredibly loyal guest base, with roughly 72% repeat guests each year. Many of those repeat guests loved the area—and the way we operate—so much that they eventually became owners whose properties we now manage. That kind of long-term relationship means a lot to us, and we think it says everything about how we do business.

Great Selection

We feature one, two, three, and four bedroom vacation rentals that accommodate six to 13 people. We have both Gulf front rentals and Gulf view rentals (side views of the Gulf from the balcony) on Destin Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. We also have five beautiful condos at Majestic Sun–one of the most popular complexes in Destin/Miramar Beach.

Pet-friendly Rentals

A large selection of Pet Friendly Rentals were apporpriate. we accept well-groomed, well-trained pups with prior approval aseveral of our units. . We also have cottages/houses just one to two blocks from the beach which are pet friendly.

Conveniently Located

Most of our properties are located on Scenic Gulf Drive in South Walton County between Pompano Joe’s and Captain Dave’s restaurants on the Gulf of Mexico. Our rentals are convenient to Destin restaurants, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, Destin Commons Shopping Center, charter boat fishing from Destin Harbor, biking trails, and near 12 different Destin golf courses.

Non-smoking Units

All of our rental condos and homes are non-smoking units.

Great Rates

Our rates are very competitive — especially our Fall and Spring Break rates.

Amenities

We offer complimentary beach chairs and umbrella March 15 – Oct 31* at most properties including Maravilla, Mediterranea, Beach Retreat, Crystal View, Ciboney, Beach Resort, Gulfview II, and Leeward Key. A perfect add on to our Destin beach condo rentals.
