Leeward Key Rentals are a terrific value as far as condo rentals in destin with a view of the gulf. Its no wonder these units remain a crowd favorite.
Leeward Key practically sits on the city limits line between Destin and Miramar Beach on laid back Scenic Gulf Drive. If you’ve been to the area, you’ve seen it – one of the tallest buildings around with 12 floors. While this is a high rise, with only 6 units per floor it still has that small boutique complex feel. Leeward Key features 70 units, including 2-bedroom/2-bath options and 4-bedroom/3-bath options.

We manage the largest number of units at Leeward Key and we are beyond happy to help the other owners and our guest. There is a lot to be said about knowing the complex inside out, Renee and I each own a unit ourselves and have remodeled many for our owners. With plenty of time onsite and hands-on experience, we’re familiar with all things Leeward Key and are here to answer any questions you may have.

Stayed at Leeward Key unit 401 condo, 4BR, 3B. Plenty of space for the entire family + in-laws! The condo was beautifully remodeled & super clean! The complex had 2 awesome pools and the gulf views you dream of! On top of the views, the beach has perfectly soft white sand & crystal clear blue waters. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony of the condo every night! With good restaurants nearby, we were beyond happy with our decision to stay here & will definitely be coming back!

Stayed at Leaward key 1002 several times already this year. Great condo, clean and right across the street with wonderful ocean view. Great folks to rent from as I have for the past 5+years.

I loved Jellywish! The condo and furnishings are beautiful. Location is very convenient. Beach Condos in Destin was easy to work with and provided all the information we needed. Definitely will book with them again.

I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but I felt compelled to share my experience because I was genuinely disappointed by the condition of the Sail Aweigh Condo (Unit 102) at Leeward Key Condominiums. Instead of relaxing and enjoying our vacation, my family and I spent much of our stay feeling uncomfortable and concerned about the cleanliness of the unit.
When we arrived, we were already exhausted from traveling. The last thing we expected was to have to thoroughly clean the condo ourselves. I always travel with disinfecting wipes and cleaning supplies because I like to sanitize high-touch surfaces, but what we encountered went far beyond routine wiping down.
The bed linens did not appear clean. The sheets looked dingy, and the comforters had a grimy, almost slimy texture that made them feel as though they had not been properly laundered. They certainly did not feel fresh. Because of this, I immediately removed and washed all of the bed linens before my family would use them.
After noticing the condition of the linens, I began looking more closely at the rest of the condo. Dust covered many surfaces throughout the unit. The countertops, bathroom surfaces, and bedroom furniture had such a thick layer of dust that it left a powdery residue on my fingertips. Minor dust is understandable, but this was well beyond what anyone should expect from a vacation rental that has supposedly been cleaned before guests arrive.
The shared hallway bathroom was especially concerning. There were yellowish-brown streaks and stains on the walls that made the bathroom feel unclean. There was also visible mold around the bathtub frame. The toilet was extremely dirty, with thick black buildup around the inside of the bowl that required significant scrubbing before I felt comfortable using it. I should not have had to deep-clean a bathroom upon arriving at a vacation rental.
The bathtub itself was also a safety concern. The surface was extremely slippery, and both my mother and I slipped while getting out of the tub on separate occasions. I strongly recommend adding a non-slip surface, grab bar, or another safety feature to help prevent future falls.
The master bathroom had additional cleanliness concerns. There were large patches of what appeared to be brown and black mold on the ceiling above the showerhead, as well as another mold-covered area along the upper portion of the shower wall toward the back of the bathroom. These areas were substantial in size and impossible to overlook. Seeing visible mold in multiple places made my family extremely uncomfortable during our stay.
The décor of the condo is attractive, and it has the potential to be a wonderful place to stay. However, once you look beyond the decorating, the lack of thorough cleaning becomes very apparent. Even the decorative items inside the glass display cabinet were covered in dust, making it seem as though they had not been cleaned in a very long time.
Because so many areas of the condo appeared neglected, I became hesitant to even sit on the living room furniture. If the visible surfaces had not been properly cleaned, it naturally made me question whether the upholstered furniture was being cleaned and sanitized between guests.
I understand that no property is absolutely perfect. However, guests should never arrive and feel obligated to deep-clean linens, bathrooms, and living spaces before they can comfortably begin their vacation. That is not the experience anyone should have after paying for accommodations.

We enjoyed our trip to Miramar Beach, staying at Leeward Key – unit 1002. Beach Condos were excellent to work with and very helpful with any questions. The condo was beautiful and very clean. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Miravista 1001 and everything was perfect. We’ve stayed at Leeward Keys before, but the view was so much better from the patio this year because of the upper floor. Loved the patio furniture that was so comfortable and relaxing.

This condo was absolutely amazing. The location was close to the waterfront and being on the ground floor meant the beach was just a 2 minute walk across the street. The only negative review we have is the bed mattress in the master suite was extremely firm and hurt our bodies after the first night of sleep. We had to switch beds to the guest bedroom mattress which was way softer for the rest of our nights.

This was our first time ever visiting Destin/Miramar Beach area. After doing extensive research on properties, we settled on Leeward Key, Unit 605, for the month of February 2026. We can honestly say that the unit and property far exceeded our expectations. The unit was great. The property and grounds are immaculate, and the location is perfect. Laura and Renee were wonderful to work with and were extremely responsive to any questions or issues we had (although issues were minimal). We will definitely be repeat customers!

What a beautiful place to stay! Great location in the center of so much to do. Kenny D’s next door always provides plenty of entertainment, coffee shops, and eateries. Get your morning exercise in with a brisk walk on the wonderful side walks provided. Stroll across the street to the beach for a beautiful sunrise or to the pool for a refreshing dip. Any issues we had with our unit were immediately addressed. It’s our favorite place to stay in the area! We’ll be back!!

Leeward Key 502 was outstanding! The gorgeous 5th floor views from living room and master bed are breathtaking. Furnishings are as shown in pictures and all tasteful and very comfortable . Mattresses were very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked for staying in for meals to enjoy the views from the condo. Beach service at beach a definite plus! And beachside pool was an added bonus to watch sunsets ! Parking easy and plentiful. The staff at Beach Condos in Destin were great to work with ! No complaints at all on Leeward Key 502.

First time staying here. We are frequent Miramar Beacher’s. Beach access/service was great. Nice having pool near beach and another at condos. Staff kept outside clean , elevators clean, etc. No issues with the place, will probably become our “go to”.

Our first of many returns to Leeward Key at Mirimar Beach, FL. We booked 804 (Wild Blue Yonder) for our most recent visit to the Destin area and could not be more pleased! The amenities were perfect ranging from 1 complimentary set of beach chairs w/ umbrella, pool entry and a private beach access platform. While we did not take advantage of the gas grills, several patrons made good use of them. Vast amount of parking was available and the use of two elevators to the higher floors made it simple enough. The room was spacious with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stove/oven, comfortable beds with a balcony view of the gulf. Anthony managed the chairs/umbrellas on the beach and did a phenomenal job, while Laura was exemplary in assisting us during our stay! Our only regret was not finding this spot earlier in our visits to Destin. Booked a rental car so access to a plentiful amount of shops, grocery stores and restaurants was a breeze. Already looking at booking Leeward Key again for next year’s trip to Destin!

We were able to enjoy our time at this condo. The condo itself was beautiful and had the amenities we needed to be comfortable. The short walk to the beach was the biggest perk. We appreciated the wristbands to enter and leave the beach and pool areas, it was convenient. We were a little disappointed with the sofa bed. It had crumbs on it and the mattress was stained. The sofa itself and the swivel chairs were also decently stained. Overall we enjoyed our time and would definitely book again.

This is the third year we have stayed at Leeward Key Unit 502. It is beautiful, spotless, offers a gorgeous view of the beach, and is quiet. Every year when we walk inside, the condo smells so clean and fresh and looks pristine. We love both pools for our kids and the location of the condo is perfect. I wish I could give 10 stars for this beautiful condo!

We have stayed in 1203 at Leeward Key twice now. It is a beautiful condo with an amazing view. The hosts are always so accommodating and helpful. The location is great too. You can walk to many restaurants such as Captain Dave’s and Kenny D’s and the food is always so good.

We loved our winter stay at Leeward Key, Unit 1002 for 7 days in February 2025. Arriving from Ohio, the units decor and artworks finnished in colors of ocean seagreen/blue, lifted our winter weary spirits from the moment we entered.
The kitchen and baths were high end luxury, the household assessories were thoughtfully provided and complete, and the coastal furnishings exquisite.
During our stay, the sunrise/sunset views from the balcony were magnificent. During the day sunshine warmed into the 70s, and we were able to lounge comfortably at their private poolside right on the beach. Definitely, will plan our next winter escape here!
