I’m head over heels for Pedro’s Tacos and Tequila Bar. It’s the perfect spot for larger parties or if you want to groove to some tunes on a Monday. Their street tacos are to die for! Pedro’s is conveniently located near Beach Retreat, Maravilla, and Leeward Key, making it a staple in our Mexican restaurant lineup.

Pepito’s Mexican Restaurant
Right around the corner from Pedro’s is the charming Pepito’s Mexican Restaurant. The building may be smaller, but the flavors are huge! It can be tricky to snag a table, but trust me, it’s worth it for the cheese dip and those irresistible buy-one-get-one-free margaritas on Saturday nights. Plus, you can get there without ever hitting Hwy 98—just take Scenic Gulf Drive to Dolphin Street, turn right, then left before the red light onto the access road by Papa John’s. Easy peasy!

Cantina Laredo
For a more upscale vibe, Cantina Laredo in Miramar Beach is where it’s at. Their grilled fish and shrimp dishes are top-notch, and the tableside guacamole? Absolute perfection.

El Jalisco at Destin Commons
If you’re heading to the movies or shopping at Destin Commons, swing by El Jalisco. Their birria is incredible, and the portions are so generous you’ll need a to-go box! I personally really like the Birra Burrito here.
