Best Ice Cream in Miramar Beach and Destin: Sweet Stuff Must-Try Ice Cream Shops

If your family is anything like mine, they have a real sweet tooth. Well, my husband and children do, and on occasion, I will join them for ice cream in Destin. Since they really love ice cream, I figured I would make you a list to point out favorite places or options within walking distance of our Destin Condo rentals. Luckily, there are several very, very close to so many of our condos. I’ve included a handy map to help navigate.

Ice Cream Shoppe Destin East: This full-service ice cream parlor boasts Hershey’s brand Ice Cream and is my husband and children’s absolute FAVORITE. Birthday cake for the husband and Moose tracks for the kids. Conveniently located near Panda Express.

DQ / Orange Julius Store: It is open until 10:00 PM and within walking distance of all the condos. Hopefully, everyone knows about Dairy Queen, so I don’t need to elaborate on the deliciousness of a DQ Blizzard.

Cold Stone Creamery: Hand-rolled ice cream; this place is located near Kilwins and the AMC movie theatre Destin Commons.

Frozen Dune Rolled Ice Cream & Coffee: Experience the magic of rolled ice cream. Located next to Ciboney condos, this is the easiest walking spot for ice cream for most of our units: our rentals at Ciboney, Mediaterranea Destin rentals, Crystal View Condos, Maravilla, Beach Retreat Leeward Key. With outdoor seating and delivery options, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a sweet treat with friends.

Seascape Moo La La Ice Cream & Fudge: Walking Distance from our Seascape and Majestic Sun Rentals in Seascape Towne Centre. From milkshakes to sundaes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream We do not try this place that often, but I can tell you this is a crowd favorite. During summer, it is not uncommon to see a line from afternoon to evening outside of Bruster’s Ice Cream. With over 24 flavors to choose from, including unique options like banana peanut butter ripple, it’s a destination for ice cream aficionados. This would be a very convenient golf cart ride from our rentals.

Kilwins Destin Commons: Treat yourself to handcrafted ice cream at Kilwins, where the flavor selection is as diverse as it is delicious. Don’t miss out on their toasted coconut ice cream; this one is my personal favorite.

Gulf Coast Burger: Known for its extravagant, over- the -top milkshakes, The Yard Milkshake Bar offers a frozen dessert experience like no other. With options like the Destin Turtle, featuring praline pecan and butter pecan ice cream, it’s a sweet sensation you won’t soon forget.

Shakes Frozen Custard Locally owned, endless combinations of frozen Custards, PLUS they have really good chicago style hot dogs!

Whether looking to beat the mid-day beach heat or you’re strolling along Scenic Gulf Drive in the evening enjoying the gulf breeze and looking for a treat or an after – dinner treat, these are all really great options during your stay with us.
